All the Night Clubs, Pubs, Restaurants, Cinema and major shopping areas are just a walking distance away. The local Railway Station is just a 5 minutes walk away. Dating back to 1615, this former Coaching Inn is steeped in history & character. Located in Crawley town centre, The George is also close to M23 and Gatwick Airport. The Hotel has a wide range of function rooms for meetings conferences, weddings and private parties. In the George Bar, English Pub food is a favourite amongst the locals and guests who delight in our selection of wines and spirits. Alternatively, you may prefer to sample from a varied choice of traditional food and excellent selection of wines in our friendly, informal 1615 Pub. We now provide transport to and from the Airport between 07.00 and 23.00 hours. We charge a very nominal fee of 6.50 per room for a one-way journey to the Airport, which is very much less than what is usually charged by the local cabs. Our guests just need to give us a call to have the transport arranged. The Guests need to wait at the yellow sign marked Hotel & Courtesy Pick-ups just outside the Airport. The transport is available on request and subject to availability and time. Check in time is from 1400 hours. Check out time is 1100 hours.
